New Delhi, July 23 (IANS) &pictures, premium mass Hindi movie channel, is all set to air the “Comedystan Film Festival” from July 27 to 30.

Riteish Deshmukh’s movies “Malamaal Weekly”, “Masti”, “Double Dhamaal” and “Apna Sapna Money Money” will be aired on the channel during the comedy film festival — and the actor is honoured.

“It’s really an honour for an actor to have four films and for a channel to call it Comedystan and make a film festival out of it,” Riteish said in a statement.

The actor, who is gearing up for the release of his next film “Bangistan”, has featured in several comedy movies, but he doesn’t consider himself as the king of comedy.

“King of comedy is a bit of stretch, but it does make me happy. I think ‘Bangistan’ is a different kind of comedy; it’s different humour. It’s more in satire kind of zone…, but yes nevertheless very funny and drags a very sensitive point across,” he said.

One memory from his shooting days of “Bangistan” that he would cherish for life?

“I think cherishing for life is the entire experience, Genelia (his wife) was pregnant during the shoot so got to spend a lot of time with her and it was during the shoot of ‘Bangistan’ that we thought of the name Riaan for our child in Poland,” he shared.

Riteish might have made many roll with laughter through his acts, but his co-star Pulkit Samrat was scared when “I got to know that Ritesh is going to be the part of the film and I am supposed to share the screen with him”.

“I was very scared because he has got an impeccable sense of humour and comic timing and my biggest fear was how to even get close to his comic timing and obviously he has been in the industry for 12 years now.

“When I was supposed to meet him for the first time, I was actually rehearsing in front of the mirror as if I am going on a date with a girl. I did’’t know how to talk to him and as soon as we met, we had our first reading together, I did’’t have to do anything as he was the one who broke the ice.

One memory of the actor on the sets of “Bangistan” that he will cherish for life?

“We had a couple of night outs in Poland which was quite fun. They officially made me Raju guide over there because I knew where to go and where not to go and that was because I was shooting lesser than what Riteish was shooting over there.

“I had more days to figure out things and that is his how I knew what was where. Then, me and Riteish went to a beach for a date with each other,” said Pulkit.
