Cream Cheese Cookies

This is one of my favorite and quick recipes when I crave cheese cake.  I love the crunchy crust on the bottom, which makes it more enjoyable to eat.  Although it is not a cheese cake, it tastes just like it.  The crust is simple and easy to make so you can use this crust with any other recipe that requires crust.

Ingredients for the crust:


1 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup walnuts
6 tbsp melted butter


Method:  Combine the above ingredients and mix it well using a fork or you can use your hands.  Press the mix on to a 9 ? x 11 inch pan using your hands to make the crust.  Bake at 350 degree for 15 minutes or until brown.


Let the browned crust cool completely.

Ingredients for the filling:


2 8oz pkt softened cream cheese
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract


Method: Combine all the above ingredients, using an electric mixer, mix well.  Spread over the baked crust. Bake at 350 degree for 20 minutes.


If you like smooth cream cheese cookies, mix sugar and cream cheese until smooth, and thoroughly beat eggs and vanilla.


Let it cool.  You can serve it at room temperature or chill it for at least one hour.  Serve either with sprinkled powdered sugar, or fresh strawberries, or frozen strawberries in sugar syrup and enjoy the cream cheese cookies.
