Mangaluru: Santosh Kumar (27) of Shiva Kripa Nilaya in Bijai New Road has been arrested by the CCB police on charges of operating a betting ring based on the T20 World Cup’s match results.
The CCB had reliable information about that he operated from Bijai Kapikad and raided the place. They found Rs 13,000 collected from the public, a mobile phone and scribbling paper with notes on collections. He was arrested and the materials were seized.
The case was handed over to the Urwa police for further proceedings.
