Daylight Theft of Valuables Worth Rs 1.36 Lakh from Gujjarabettu House

Udupi: A shocking case of a daylight theft has been reported from Gujjarabettu road in Padutonse village on April 22.

Shabbir Saheb of Gujjarabettu had locked his house around 12-30 pm and gone out. Around 2-30 pm, he returned to find the front door’s lock broken open. When inspecting the house, two gold bangles, a gold chain, a bracelet, a mangalsutra and three gold rings were missing.

The total weight of the valuables was 75 gms and they were of value Rs 1.36 lakh.

A case has been registered at the Malpe station.
