Dead monkey gets ‘Anthya Samskara Bhagya’ in Udupi !

Udupi: The Karnataka people have heard of many Bhagyas given by the Congress-led Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and it’s appreciated by the citizens of Karnataka. Likewise, a dead monkey got Anthya Samskara Bhagya (Funeral) by social activist Nithyananda Volakadu who is known for innovative protests on Thursday, October 6.

A 15-year-old male monkey was electrocuted and died while it was jumping from the building to another near the Post-office road.

Nithyananda Volakadu who received the information rushed to the spot, noticed the monkey lying unconscious and informed the forest officials. Regional forest officer Clifford Lobo and Devaraj Pana arrived at the spot and found that the monkey had died and collected necessary information about the death of the monkey.

Later Nithyananda Volkadu took the body of the monkey in his ambulance to Adi-Udupi Regional Forest office and buried it there as per Hindu rituals.
