Delhi to see traffic diversions on Friday

New Delhi, Oct 21 (IANS) In view of the immersion of Goddess Durga’s idols here on Friday, Delhi Police has made diversions across the city to ensure smooth traffic movement.

The Delhi Traffic Police has told motorists to avoid routes where Durga Puja processions will pass and use public transport instead.

Commercial vehicles will not be allowed on Wazirabad bridge and will be diverted towards ISBT bridge.

The roads to be affected on Friday afternoon include Mandir Marg, Panchkuian Road, Connaught Place, Minto Road, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Ring Road and Chittaranjan Park.

“People should avail public transport like Delhi Metro to help decongest roads,” an official said.
