Dilip Ghosh is West Bengal BJP chief

New Delhi, Dec 11 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Friday appointed Dilip Ghosh as its West Bengal unit president ahead of the 2016 assembly polls.

Ghosh, a general secretary in the state BJP, replaces Rahul Sinha, whose term has ended. Sinha is now a national secretary.

The West Bengal unit, under Sinha’s leadership, failed to create any impact in the recent panchayat and civic body elections. He was re-elected the president in 2012 for three years.
