District youth congress locks Post office against Modi’s fake job creation assurance

Udupi: The district youth congress on Tuesday, October 24, staged a protest against the Narendra Modi led NDA government for failing to fulfil its promise of creating two crore jobs every year.

The Youth Congress workers gathered in front of District Head post office and shouted slogans against the Narendra Modi government.

Addressing the protesters Umesh Boregowda state youth Congress leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised 2 crore jobs a year. He had promised to give employment to the youth. The government has failed to provide two crore jobs annually which PM Modi had promised. The future of the country from the economic and social point of view is bleak. Narendra Modi should apologize to the youth of the country for failing to create jobs in the last three years.

The NDA government headed by the BJP was shamelessly taking credit for projects which were started during the UPA regime. The only noticeable achievement of the BJP- led government is the inauguration of the projects which were conceptualised and started during the UPA government.

District Youth Congress Secretary Vighnesh Kini in his message said that three years ago Modi had promised that his government will create two crore jobs per year. However, the NDA regime is hardly managing to create one lakh jobs a year. The present unemployment rate in the country is the highest in the last eight years. BJP’s slogan of ‘Sabka saath-sabka vikas’ is a mere slogan and has no implementation in practical terms in the policies of Narendra Modi Government. Modi has failed to deliver Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas, now it has turned as Sabka Sath Sabka Vinash, he added.

District youth congress president Vishwas Ameen said that instead of discharging his duties as prime minister, Modi is dividing the country, spreading hatred and ignoring the sufferings of the poor. What the country has witnessed in the last three years is just “empty promises and gimmicks,” and dubbed Modi government as “most disappointing” ruling dispensation since Independence.

Later the Youth Congress workers under the leadership of District Youth Congress president Vishwas Ameen locked the district Head Post officer for a few minutes.

Youth Congress state leader Suhail Kandak, District Congress vice president Prakyath Shetty, District Youth Congress leaders Neeraj Patil, Yathish Karkera, Melwin D’Souza, Prashanth Poojary, Harish Kini and others were present.
