‘Eega 2’ may happen post ‘Baahubali 2’: Nani

Chennai, Sep 5 (IANS) Actor Nani says the plans are on for the sequel to Telugu blockbuster “Eega”, but the project may only materialize post the release of S.S. Rajamouli’s second instalment in the “Baahubali” franchise.

“Rajamouli sir is keen to work on ‘Eega 2’. However, it may happen only after ‘Baahubali 2’,” Nani told IANS.

The 2012 release “Eega”, a reincarnation story about a housefly set out to take revenge, impressed critics and audiences alike.

The film was dubbed and released in Hindi as “Makkhi”, and it was extremely well received.

Directed by Rajamouli, “Eega” also featured Kannada superstar Sudeep and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in important roles.
