Fight over groceries, Labourer Kills Friend
Udupi: A man was allegedly killed by his friend over bringing groceries from the shop at Puttur, Vasundhara Nagar here on December 2 night.
The deceased has been identified as Neeren Roy Beer of West Bengal.
According to the Town Police Neeren Roy Beer and his friend Bishwajith Roy were working as labourers at the Hospital construction site in Vasundahara Nagar, Puttur. On December 2 night, there was a heated argument between the two on the purchase of groceries. In a fit of rage, Bishwajith assaulted Neeren with an Iron rod and stabbed him. Seriously injured Neeren Roy died on the spot. However, in the morning Bishwajith Roy surrendered before the Udupi Town police station and admitted the crime.
Udupi Town Police have registered the case.
