Fire engulfs building in Delhi

New Delhi, June 30 (IANS) A major fire engulfed a commercial building, Pragati Tower, here early Tuesday, officials said

They said that the cause of the fire, which started on the third floor and soon spread to the 13th floor, was not yet known.

The incident was reported at around 1.30 a.m.

Thirty fire tenders were rushed to the spot and were able to douse the flames by 3.50 a.m.

“No one is injured. Huge loss of property cannot be ruled out,” the officials said.

Pragati Tower, which is located in the Rajendra Place business district in central Delhi houses offices of both public and private enterprises.
