Fire kills CRPF trooper in Delhi

New Delhi, July 25 (IANS) A 42-year-old head constable was charred to death after a fire broke out at the CRPF headquarters here early Saturday, the Delhi Fire Service said.

The fire engulfed the fourth floor of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) building around 1.40 a.m.

Seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The firefighters managed to douse the blaze around 3 a.m.,” an official said.

They later found the body of CRPF head constable Lingam Gauda under a computer table in the record room.

The official could not confirm the exact reason behind the fire.
