Fisherman from Goa Untraced after Drowning near Ullal

Mangaluru: Ashok (50), hailing from Goa and engaged in the fishing trade off the city’s shores, has been reported to be missing.

He had left Ullal Kotebagilu estuary in a boat on a fishing mission. He was accompanied by Panja from Delhi, Nagaraj from Tamil Nadu, Biju from Kerala and Ramesh from Nepal.

Ashok is said to have slipped off the boat into the sea around 10-30 pm and has remained untraced ever since. His companions after making a search returned ashore.

A complaint in this connection has been registered at the Ullal police station by Muhammed Ismail Hussein.
