Found Rs.2.4 lakh from Kejriwal’s secretary’s house: CBI

New Delhi (IANS): The CBI said on Tuesday that it raided 14 locations in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and found Rs.2.4 lakh from the house of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s secretary.

A CBI spokesman said documents related to three immovable properties along with the cash were recovered from secretary Rajendra Kumar’s residence.

Kejriwal said earlier that the CBI had raided his office and called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “coward”.

The Central Bureau of Investigation also said that Kumar was not cooperating with it in opening his email accounts.

The CBI said another Rs.10.5 lakh had been recovered from G.K. Nanda, who it said was a co-accused with Kumar in a case of corruption.

Nanda is the general manager of Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL).

  1. Mr. Kejriwal Ji please do not start straightaway and always blaiming or dragging the Prime Minister of India. If you are elected one then he is too. You are only chief minister of one out of 37 state/UTs of India. If every Chief Minister start behaving like you then what will happen to Center and remember Center is supreme, still if Delhi Government have any problem with Center then it can be resolved by Supreme Court of India but not by Individual. This way you are ;loosing your creditability. We as a citizen of India believe that you and Mr. Modi is having clean Image but cannot vouch for others.

  2. Found Rs.2.4 lakhs?? Seriously? We are not living in mid-90s anymore. A few lakh rupees is not a big amount these days and can’t be seen as a sign of corruption. They can find a few lakh rupees of cash in my brother-in-law or cousin’s house on any given day!! This sounds more like an agenda-driven attack on AAP. Oh well…let’s see if CBI has more information to justify why and how this is an indication of corruption. Let’s wait and see…

    • Mr. Pai, as you have said, this is another big joke created by the BJP. Rs. 2.4 lakh is nothing
nowadays, but created a big issue out of that; thought of catching a shark
but caught only one sardine. When I went to Kerala more than
15 years back, I was surprised to see that many people having
lakhs at their custody as if I had Rs. 100 five decades back.

If the CBI is being used by the BJP for such kind of sub-standard
      political vendetta shooting exercise
instead of catching the giants of corruption and bloodshed, then the
CBI will be sounding like a boneless federal agency totally subservient
to the political orders of the ruling Government of India. This is simply
a pre-calculated strategy to attack the AAP which has given a very
severe blow at the right cheek of the BJP in New Delhi elections; besides,
the BJP Government has taken the list of the CMs who went to
Bihar for Mr. Nitish Kumar’s CM dedication service. In reality,
India is shifting to the spirit of Nazism, but a great percentage of the
electorate of India can’t read the red letter writing on the wall.
