Four arrested in Farangipet Double Murder case

Bantwal: The DCBI police arrested four persons in Udupi in connection with the double murder case in Farangipet, on November 17.

The arrested have been identified as Muhammed Hussain alias Munna (26), Naufal alias Toppi Naufal (25), Mohammed Asif alias Moosa Achchi (27) and Ibrahim alias Dodda Putta (29), all from Adyar Kannur and Bajal.

On October 26, Riyaz and Fayaz were killed by a gang near the police outpost at Farangipet. The accused had come by a Qualis and assaulted Riyaz and Fayaz with machetes. In the assault Faizal, Anees and Mustaq were injured and admitted to the hospital.

In this case seven persons have already been arrested and the police were searching for the other accused. The DCBI police arrested all the four youth, during the search operations in Udupi. The accused have been handed over to the Bantwal police for further investigations. In this double murder the police so far have arrested 11 persons.

The operation was carried out by the DCBI Inspector Amanulla, Puttur Traffic SI Jagadish Reddy, Bantwal Traffic SI Yallappa, Sanjeev Purush, Uday Rai, Iqbal, Praveen, Taranath, Palani, Vasunaik and Vijay Gowda.
