Ganesh Pandelu Elected UDWJA Prez, Santhosh Secretary, Michael Rodrigues Joint Secretary

Udupi: Ganesh Prasad Pandelu sub-editor of Udayavani, Kannada daily was elected as the new president of Udupi district working journalist’s association for the year 2017-20. Santhosh Saralebettu, reporter of Raj News was elected as the general secretary while Michael Rodrigues district correspondent of Mangalorean.com was elected as the joint secretary respectively here on December 5.

Former district president and national journalist association representative Dinesh Kini was the election officer who later announced the election results.

Udayavani, Hebri reporter Uday Kumar, Prajavani Kundapur Reporter K C Rajesh, Udayavani Padubidri Reporter Ramachandra Acharya (vice presidents), Spandana district reporter Divakar Bhandari (Tresurer), B-Tv district reporter Harish Palechar (Sports Secretary). Hosadiganta district reporter Nellije Navyajoythi, Kaup reporter Pundalika Marate, Vijaya Karnataka Brahmavara, Reporter Ganesh Saibarkatte, Jayakirana Kundapur Reporter Mazar, Nagaraj Rayappana Mata, V4 Karkala reporter K M Khalil, Varthabharathi Karkala Reporter Mohammed Sharif were elected as members of the governing council.

The elections for the post of vice president and Joint Secretary were also held, Padubidri Reporter Ramachandra Acharya and Michael Rodrigues district correspondent of Mangalorean.com were elected as vice president and joint secretary respectively.

Earlier the general body meeting was chaired by outgoing president Jayakar Suvarna. Outgoing Secretary Ganesh Prasad Pandelu read out the annual report while outgoing Treasurer presented the annual accounts.
