After being released on bail, Farooq continued his old habit of selling and peddling ganja. On the directions of the Police commissioner Chandra Sekhar, he was once again arrested by the Bunder police Inspector on April 27, 2016, and sent to judicial custody and again released on conditional bail.

But Farooq was unable to stop his old habit and involved in Ganja peddling. The police then issued a notice to Farooq’s lawyer and also submitted an application to the court to cancel Farooq’s bail.

On 25 October 2016, the District Sessions court cancelled Farooq’s bail and ordered him to be sent to judicial custody. Cases have been filed against Farooq in various police stations and the reports have been submitted to the court which are under investigation.

Government lawyer Pusparaj Adyanthaya contested the case on behalf of the Bunder police inspector Shantharam.

  1. “Farooooq…” – report

Let him go. Ganja should be legal. If alcohol and tobacco are allowed, I don’t know why we are throwing people in prison for ganja. Just doesn’t make sense.
