Mangaluru: A gas-laden tanker went out of its driver’s control and rammed into an electric pole next to a filling station near BASF off Suratkal in the early hours of Saturday. It then rolled over with two on board getting injured.
It could have turned into a terrible tragedy as it happened near the filling station. Fortunately, the damage was only to the vehicle and the electric pole. Besides, since it occurred in the early hours, there was not much of traffic or human movement.
The police from Suratkal, fire-tenders and traffic personnel rushed to the spot at once and prevented further damage.
