17-year-old Khoobu Kumari hanged herself at her Gosala road Shashtri Nagar home in Dumka town, police said, adding, at the time of the incident, her father, a truck driver, went to Pakur and her mother had gone to a nearby field.

“The incident is an eyeopener as it happened in the midst of Swachhta Abhiyan and construction of toilets for women,” Deputy Inspector General of Police D B Sharma said.

Taking suo moto cognisance, Sinha ordered a police probe into the incident and asked them to ensure taking action against the guilty.

“As per reports, a quarrel had ensued between the girl and her mother,” the statement quoting the DC said.

The DC also issued directive to the officials concerned to carry out a survey of houses having no toilets in town areas or its adjoining villages and submit a report.

  1. Dear readers,

Is our globetrotting PM Modi is getting news briefing from PMO office this days? Where is the Hindutva icon and BJP’s prime ministerial Narendra Modi promise of “Build toilets first and temples later”?

After talking about tourism, Yoga, school toilets, Raksha Bandhan, rain water harvesting and fertilizers, Modi switched to his love for social media. “I keep communicating with you through social media, and I get to know a lot of new-new things from you too,” Modi. When his going to deliver ‘Man ke bath’ for struggling ‘Beti’ who screams ‘Bachao’ on daily basis with increase tendency of rapes?

India’s child sex-ratio (below six years) is now the worst in 70 years, possibly the worst ever. The latest decline was from 927 (girls per 1,000 boys) in 2001 to 918 in 2011.

The child sex-ratio, if it does not improve, will lead to a deficit of 23 million women in the 20-49 age group by 2040.

The Lancet estimates that 500,000 female fetuses are aborted in India every year. As a result according to the BBC, “an estimated 25-50 million women in India are ‘missing’, if you compare the proportion of women in the population with other countries.” Staggeringly, Unicef believes 10 million girls, were killed by their parents in the last thirty years.

Modi government who miss calculated priorities and completely focused on ‘cow protection’ than human female gender wants
only attention is “SelfieWithDaughter” for publicity stunt.

Modi saheb who proudly beats 56 inch chest can’t even provide justice to his own ‘Ardhangini’ will provide the social security and safety of the women of this nation?

He is more worried about self esteem by using daughters of others.

    Jai hind
