Gold down on stronger US dollar

Chicago, Oct 22 (IANS) Gold futures went down on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange as the US dollar strengthened ahead of the European Central Bank meeting.

The most active gold contract for December delivery fell $10.4, or 0.88 percent, to settle at $1,167.10 per ounce on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
