Good news is parliament is running: Modi

New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed happiness that parliament was functioning without serious disruptions, and said the credit for this went to all political parties.

“The good news is that parliament is running, and credit goes to all parties,” Modi said in his inaugural address at the Hindustan Leadership summit here.

Modi’s remarks, made towards the end of a nearly 40-minute speech, elicited smiles from the audience.

The monsoon session of parliament was almost washed out over Congress’ demand for the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for alleged wrongdoings.
