Hassan: Wild Elephant Barging into Coffee Estate Dies of Electrocution

Hassan: Wild elephants have been roaming around in Kadul Koppal in Alur in the district over the past few months, according to villagers.

Many farms and their growth have been damaged by them. One of them, however, got electrocuted by touching a low-lying power-line as it tries to march into a coffee estate in Kadlur Koppal on Saturday night.

It is said to have come into contact with the overhead line and died of shock on the spot.

As the news spread, people gathered in large numbers. Forest officials also visited the spot and inspected the carcass.
