Hit by School bus, 5-year-old Tauhida Dies
Dharmasthala: A 5-year-old girl died on the spot after her school bus hit her at Kakkinje, here on June 16.
The deceased has been identified as Tauhida (5), daughter of Ahmed Kunhi, a resident of Shivabettu, Charmady.
According to the police, Tauhida, who was studying in Karunya English Medium School, was returning home from school on her school bus. At around 4:50 pm, the driver of the school bus dropped Tauhida at Shivabettu. After dropping Tauhida, the driver reversed the vehicle. He failed to notice Tauhida, who was standing behind the bus, and hit her.
Tauhida was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to head injuries at 6 pm.
A case has been registered in the Dharmasthala Police Station.
