It seems like it’s not okay to kill a cow, but it’s okay to kick a cow, which is considered to be sacred by Hindus. Here’s an example – A video clip, purportedly showing some Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers kicking a cow during immersion of ashes of Ashok Singhal in Lucknow, went viral on social media platforms on Thursday, 26 November in Lucknow, after which the Hindutva outfit said action would be taken if any of its members was involved in the act.
It is learnt that VHP spokesperson, Sharad Sharma has said that If VHP members were found involved, then they will be identified and action taken against them, adding that “for us, cow has always been and will be sacred. We can never disrespect her… VHP has always taken stance on cow”.
The video shows that some persons in a procession carrying ashes of Singhal for immersion in Lucknow were kicking the cow which came in the way of the rally.
Kicking and slaughtering of for export to serve foreigners is permissible.
Only minority Muslim in India should not consume, since it is revered as ‘Gow Mata’.

Media is getting desperate and playing the same dishonest tactics as they do in silently endorsing radical Islam. Let’s take this case for example. So…some unknown members of VHP kicked a cow to make room for procession. As the report clearly admits, VHP is visibly upset over the incident and promised to look into this incident. It is not the official policy of VHP to hurt or ‘kick’ cows. However, look at the opening lines in this report – “It seems like it’s not okay to kill a cow, but it’s okay to kick a cow, which is considered to be sacred by Hindus”!! Seriously? Is this the official stand of VHP?? This is a new low for journalism. I wish media has higher standards!
On the other hand, the opposing parties like minority groups, Congress and other parties have openly expressed their support to cow slaughtering. Comparing an official policy to support cow slaughtering to an aberration on the side of VHP shows that readers need to be very careful in trusting ‘news’ reports these days.
