Manipal Police arrest one in 25-year-old Girl’s murder case

Udupi: Sources said that the Manipal police on Thursday, March 14 have arrested a person for murdering a 25-year-old girl, who was found dead near the forest area at MooduSagri Manipal.

The accused has been identified as Kumar Sangappa, a native of Dharwad. The Police are also searching two more persons in this case. The District SP Nisha James and DySP Jai Shanker have not confirmed the arrest.

The Victim, a native of Badami was presently residing in Nittur. She was working in a Shop at Kalsanka near Sri Krishna Temple. On March 9 at around 2:45 pm she had gone missing from her shop. The victim’s family members searched everywhere and later filed a missing person’s complaint at the Women’s Police Station on Sunday, March 10.

On March 10 evening a passerby noticed the body lying on the ground in Moodusagri and alerted the police.
