Pub owners will be in Trouble if Rules not Followed – Sandeep Patil

Mangaluru: “To curb the crime, we have called and warned all the pub owners to follow the timings. As per the conditions of the license, pubs should be closed at 11:30 pm. We have already informed the pub owners to strictly follow the timings. If they do not close the pubs or bars at 11:30 pm we will take action under the Karnataka Police Act”, warned the police commissioner Sandeep Patil on March 19 at the Police grounds.

Sandeep Patil further said, “The owners should not facilitate any illegal activities in the pubs like providing drugs etc. As per the conditions of the license, pubs should be closed at 11:30 pm. If any of the pubs are found to be involved in illegal activities, we will take strict action against the pub owner. We have already warned the owners to follow the timings according to the License.”

Sandeep Patil also said, “We have already instructed the pub owners to take care of the safety of women by installing CCTV cameras in and outside the pub. The pub owners appoint bouncers in the pub who take the law into their hands. Pub owners should check the criminal background of the bouncers before appointing them”.
