Madrid, May 24 (IANS) Real Madrid footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has thrown his support behind coach Carlo Ancelotti as he awaits news of his future at the club.

The club finished two points behind the Barcelona in La Liga, were eliminated at the semi-final stage of Champions League and exited the Copa del Rey back in January.

However, Ronaldo tweeted his support to Ancelotti along with a picture of the football giants embracing at the Santiago Bernabeu dressing room.

“Great coach and amazing person. Hope we work together next season,” Ronaldo tweeted on Sunday, referring to Ancelotti.
