ICYM Udupi Deanery holds Yuva Samagam 2016

Udupi: On account of the Year of Mercy, the ICYM Udupi deanery organised a unique programme, “Yuva Samagam 2016 – One day with the Lord” on July 24 at St Antony Church premises, Kuntalnagar.


The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. The first session was conducted by Redemptorist priest Fr Eugene D’Silva, Fr Prem Prakash and team.

The session witnessed very good participation of the youth as they took an active part in the Adoration, confession and Holy Eucharistic celebration.
The afternoon session started at 1:30 pm which was handled by CFC (Singles) Bengaluru team and included group sharing, action songs and various other activities.

The valedictory ceremony was held later at 4 pm. Dean of Udupi Deanery Fr Fred Mascarenhas in his presidential speech expressed his joy and gratitude to the youth for taking the programme seriously and participating in large numbers.

ICYM Udupi Deanery ex-President Idving Suares and ex-Secretary Felina D’Souza were felicitated during the programme.

Fr Denis D’Sa (parish priest of Kutalnagar church), Fr Royson D’Souza (Director of ICYM, Udupi Deanery), Fr Lawrence Cutinho, Fr Fredrick D’Souza, Valerian Mathias, Mothu D’Souza, Wilfred Lewis and Valita Lobo were present.

ICYM Udupi Deanery president Vinyl D’Souza welcomed the gathering and secretary Janet D’Silva delivered the vote of thanks. Viola Mendonca compered the programme.
