Incidents of intolerance must be addressed: Naidu

New Delhi, Nov 30 (IANS) Incidents of intolerance must be addressed, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said on Monday.

“The incidents of intolerance should be addressed,” Naidu said in the Rajya Sabha, adding mutual respect brings tolerance.

He also said that it was time for all to think how far the expectations of the founding fathers of the constitution had been achieved.

“It is the responsibility of all to address the problems of the people relating to regional imbalances, religion, caste and creed and reservation for women in parliament.”

The minister was taking part in a debate to mark the 125th anniversary celebration of Bhimrao Ambedkar.

The real tribute to Ambedkar would be to follow his vision for the country’s development, Naidu added.
