Inclement weather forces closure of Lucknow schools

Lucknow, Jan 19 (IANS) The district administration here has ordered schools to shut down classes up to the sixth grade till January 23 following heavy rain and a cold wave since Tuesday morning, an official said.

The official informed all classes above Standard Six would remain open but their timings have been rescheduled.

District Magistrate Raj Shekhar has directed all schools to adhere to the directives.

The directive came after the continuous drop in mercury across the state.
