India beat Maldives 3-2 to enter SAFF Cup final

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 31 (IANS) Hosts India defeated the Maldives 3-2 in a nail-biting semi-final match to enter the final of the SAFF Cup here on Thursday.

For India, Jeje Lalpekhlua scored in the 34th and 66th minutes alongside skipper Sunil Chhetri’s 25th minute opener.

For the Maldives, Ahmed Nashid (45) and Amdaan Ali (75) were the goal scorers.
