Rio de Janeiro, Feb 14 (IANS) Brazilian football club Internacional are considering making an offer for Argentine idol Carlos Tevez, according to media reports.

The move comes after the loss of one of the club’s finest players of the last decade, Andres d’Alessandro, who has made the switch to Buenos Aires giants River Plate, initially on a six-month loan, reports Xinhua.

A possible transfer could be facilitated by late payments of the 32-year-old’s reported $2 million-a-year contract.

Any potential bid will be far from simple for the outfit. However, they are preparing a special package payment to meet the player’s wage demands.

Tevez has already found success in Brazil, with Sao Paulo giants Corinthians. In 2005, he helped the club to the Brazilian league crown and has repeatedly been linked with a move back to the current national champions who romped to the title late last year.

Tevez has also played for Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus in Europe and made over 60 appearances for the Argentine national side.
