New Delhi, March 10 (IANS) Actress Priyanka Chopra-starrer “Jai Gangaajal” has been declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh.

Filmmaker Prakash Jha, who made his acting debut with the film, confirmed the news to IANS via text message.

“Films promoting women empowerment, ‘Neerja’ and ‘Jai Gangaajal’ declared tax free in the state, on the directives of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan,” read a tweet from the Chief Minister’s Office on Thursday.

“Grateful to Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Madhya Pradesh,” Jha tweeted.

“Jai Gangaajal” released on Friday and saw Jha essaying a corrupt police officer named B.N. Singh, while Priyanka was seen playing a officer named Abha Mathur.
