Los Angeles, Nov 25 (IANS) Actor Johnny Depp, who is married to actress Amber Heard, feels very “lucky” to have found someone who shares so many of his interests, including blues music.
“We connect on a lot of levels but the first thing that really got me was she’s an aficionado of the blues. I would play a song, some old obscure blues song and she knew what it was.
“She’s very, very literate. She’s a voracious reader, as I have been, so we connected on that as well. And she’s kind of brilliant. I’m a lucky man,” Depp told eonline.com.
The 52-year-old actor says both he and his wife were “supposed to be in a different time” so he thinks Heard’s latest role in the 1920s-set “The Danish Girl” was “perfect” for her.
“It’s a very beautiful movie and I’m very proud of her. She worked very hard. It looks like where she belongs. I always felt like I was supposed to be in a different time and I kind of felt that way about her the first time I saw her. So it looks right and perfect for her.”
