Los Angeles, Jan 10 (IANS) Actress Kaley Cuoco has been left devastated after two of her dogs died within days of each other.

The “Big Bang Theory” actress was still mourning the loss of her pet Petey, who she has had for 14 years, she was left “in shock” when another beloved dog, Chester, suddenly died.

Taking to Instagram, Cuoco, wrote: “It hasn’t been a great week for dogs so with a heavy heart I must tell you, sweet Chester (aka Chedder cheese) has passed away.

“We rescue these angels blindly and have no idea what problems they may have.. I’m still in shock but I just keep feeling blessed to have him in my life even for a small amount of time. He was such a joy- hilarious ears and followed me everywhere I went.

“He loved people so so much- loved being held and cuddled. Slept right on my pillow every night. I can sleep knowing that he felt extreme love towards the end of his life. Thank you @pawworks for blessing me with the big eared wonder .. (sic).”

The actress adopted Chester and had previously praised Petey for inspiring her interest in animal adoption, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

She added: “My folks gave him the greatest life and he taught us what it meant to love an adoption pup. I have since named my corporation after him (peteypie inc) and he has brought a lifetime of joy and laughs to our entire family.

“I know he will now enjoy doggie heaven where there will be an abundance of greenies just for him. This little guy, I will never ever forget… (sic)”
