Karkala: Cow Falls Prey to Leopard Attack in Broad Daylight in Belmannu

Karkala: Victor, a resident of Kamplottu-Nandalike in Belmannu village, had tied his cow on a nearby hillock to allow it to graze on Sunday.
Around noon, a leopard is said to have attacked it and bitten off a portion in the neck. It appears that the rope prevented the predator from dragging the cattle away. The animal died on account of injury and bleeding.
Forest officials, ZP member Supreet Shetty and others visited the spot on hearing the news.
