Karkala: Navin Kharvi (28) from Kundapur Drowns at Jomlutirtha Tourist Spot

Karkala: Jomlutirtha, the tourist hotspot near Hebri in the taluk, witnessed a drowning tragedy on Sunday evening.

Navin Kharvi, employed with Arvind Motors as a mechanic in their Kundapur facility, had arrived at the spot with a few friends to spend the leisure time. While others were bathing, Navin was watching from a high point.

He accidentally slipped and fell into the waterfall and got washed away with the force of water. He is feared to have died. Until late night, he could not be traced.

A case has been registered at the Hebri police station.
