Karkala: Rain Effect – Tree Crashes across Road and Delays Traffic on Agumbe Ghat

Karkala: Heavy rains hit Hebri and Agumbe surroundings since Saturday morning. Villages on the edge of the Agumbe ghat like Kabbinale, Mudradi, Nadpalu, Muniyal and Mutlapadi experienced non-stop rain.
Flood water from Sitanadi flowed on the Malpe-Tirthahalli national highway 169A. A huge tree crashed across the road at Nadpalu Jakkanamakki. Traffic got blocked for almost two hours in the evening.
The highway was water-logged in many places because the river was in full spate and its water overflowed into the road. The water also flowed into many farms in Nadpalu.
