Karkala: Theft of Valuables Worth Rs 1.25 Lakh from Mudral Durgaparameshwari Temple

Karkala: Thieves broke into Shri Durgaparameshwari temple in Mudral in the taluk on July 30 night and made away with valuables worth Rs 1.25 lakh.

The stolen goods include an nine-inch-high panchaloha idol of the deity riding atop a lion and a precious eyepiece of the reigning deity.

A case has been registered at the rural police station.
