Kasaragod: Ambalattare Resident Sudhakar Pai Arrested on Charge of Embezzlement of Rs 70 Crore

Kasaragod: Sudhakar Pai (63), a resident of Third Mile in Ambalattare of Kanhangad, has been arrested by a police team which arrived from Andhra.

Pai had served as manager at Shri Raghavendra Kshetra in Andhra. Now he has been slapped with a charge of having embezzled temple money to the tune of Rs 70 crore.

He had served there during the time of Shri Raghavendra Tirtha Swamiji. Pai’s version is that he had paid all collections to the then Swamiji. He has assured the police that he would appear in court in Chittoor in the coming days.

A DySP and two crime branch inspectors arrived at the Ambalattare station. Accompanied by ASI K V Krishnan, they went to Pai’s house and arrested him.
