Kasaragod: Cops Looking for Stolen Ornaments in Bus Find Man Carrying Ganja!

Kasaragod: A woman passenger travelling from here to Talapady on Karnataka boundary earlier this week suddenly noticed that a bag with ornaments had gone missing.

She brought it to the notice of the conductor. To avoid needless suspicions and to ensure that the culprit would not escape, the bus was diverted straight to the Kumbla police station on the way.

The passengers were frisked by the police who found something that they were not looking and did not expect. One of the passengers was found carrying 50 gms of ganja in his pocket.

He has been identified as Adbul Salam (38) of Iritti in Kannur. He was arrested by the police. However, the woman’s bag and gold were not found in the bus.
