Kasaragod Man Suspected of Killing Wife Ends Life by Hanging Self
Kasaragod: Lakshmi (52), wife of Gangadhar of Mavungal, was found dead near their daughter Gayatri’s house in Padikochi in Karadka near here on Thursday.
The couple had been staying with the daughter for some time. Lakshmi’s throat was found slit. Gangadhar had reportedly been picking up frequent fights with his wife. He had also gone missing since Thursday.
Hence it was suspected that it was his act and a search was on for him. However, he was found hanging from a tree near a toddy shop in Iriya on Friday afternoon.
He might have felt guilty and repentant later and resorted to suicide out of fear of the law, said the police.
Ambalattara police have registered a case.
