Kasaragod: Sharjah Resident Dies in Office, Remains Unnoticed by Colleagues

Kasaragod: A H Abubaqer (43), son of Husseinar of Melparamba here, who had been employed in the UAE, died on Wednesday, Dec 2.

He lived with his family in Sharjah, one of the emirates. He had left for work on Wednesday morning. Since he did not return home even until night, his wife tried to call him on his mobile but there was no response.

Enquiries with friends and relatives failed to give any information. Hence a complaint was filed in the police station.

The police held an investigation and got the office premises opened. Abubaqer was found lying on the floor inside the office. It is presumed that he had collapsed while at work. As nobody noticed him, the office was locked with the assumption that everyone had left.

The employers informed the family on Thursday. Family sources said that arrangements are under way to repatriate his moral remains to Kasaragod.
