Kasaragod: St Aloysius Student Arpita M C (19) Ends Life by Hanging at Home

Kasaragod: Arpita M Chandran (19), daughter of Chandran residing in Chowki Badr Nagar here, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room on Tuesday.


She was a DCA final year student at St Aloysius College in Mangaluru. Prima facie, it appeared to be a clear case of suicide. After dinner on Monday night, everyone at home had gone to bed. She was found dead in the morning.

What led to her drastic step is not known. No death note was found in her room. She did not show any signs of stress or depression the day before she did the act.

Circle inspector Sudhakaran and his team visited the spot and held investigations. Arpita’s body was sent to Periyaram Medical college for autopsy.
