Mangaluru: An appeal has been made to the Government to establish additional / new Industrial Areas / Estates in Dakshina Kannada District by acquiring Govt. / Public / Private land. As you are well aware that Sudhakar S. Shetty, President of FKCCI (Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce & Industry), Bengaluru, along with the Team of Managing Committee & Experts from various areas of Trade, Commerce Industry and Services visited Mangaluru and held a joint Meeting with our Chamber Members, conducted Seminars on APMC, Trade & Industry, Tourism, GST, Banking and Finance etc. and Industrial visits on Saturday, the 23rd of March, 2019.

He also had addressed the Press in the evening on the same day wherein he had expressed that existing Industrial Areas / Estates in this area are fully occupied and in order to accommodate new Investors additional Industrial Areas / Estates have to be established and for this at least 1000 (one thousand) acres of Land, Govt. / Public or Private nearer to the Airport, Seaport, Railway and National Highways must be acquired and had assured us that he would take up this matter with the State Government on priority basis to avoid migration of Investors to other States.

In this regard, we have sent our appeals to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Industrial Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, Principal Secretary to the Dept. of Industries and Commerce; and Chairman, KIADB and Commissioner for Industries, Govt. of Karnataka with copies to the D. C., D. K. and Joint Director, District Industries Centre, Mangaluru for establishing additional / new Industrial Areas / Estates in Dakshina Kannada District by acquiring sufficient land as aforesaid.
