KCF Dubai to hold 70th Indian Independence day

Dubai: To mark the 70th Independence day of India, the Karnataka Cultural Foundation – KCF Dubai will be organizing a programme, on Friday 19 August 7:30 pm at Musalla Tower near Al Fahidi Metro Station Bur Dubai. The event will be graced by prominent scholars and several distinguished guests.


KCF Dubai President Mehboob Rahman Saqafi Kinya will preside over the function. The grand ceremony will be inaugurated by Sheikh Bava Haji General Secretary of KCF International Committee. The message of the India Independence Day will be conveyed respectively by Abdul Hameed Saadi, Chairman of the KCF National Committee of the UAE , Usman Haji Napoklu KCF UAE General Secretary, Sarvathoma Shetty President Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha and Frank Fernandes businessmen Dubai.

On this occasion, non-resident Abdul Rauf a resident of Kotekar Mangalore will be honored for his outstanding contribution to art, he has crafted 37 ships by using waste materials.

As a part of encouraging literature, KCF Dubai conducted essay writing competition “Sovereign India and Indians” and the winner will be honoured.

Prominent leaders of KCF, other Organization and Intuitional leaders Abdul Jaleel Nizami, Ibrahim Saqafi Kedumbadi, Hussain Haji Kinya, PMH Abdul Hameed, Eshwara Mangila, M Ebrahim Mulur, Abdul Lathif Mulky Sharjah, Ashraf Haji Adyar, Abdul Razak Haji Sharjah, KH Mohammed Saqafi Abu Dhabi, Abdul Khader Sa’adi Ajman and Abdul Razak Haji Natekal Al Ain will participate in the Independence day celebration.

KCF Dubai requests all non-residents to participate in the scheduled programme. Mahboob Saqafi Kinya (Chairman Dubai KCF), Kalandar Kabaka (Gen.Secretary Dubai KCF), Rafiq Sampya (Secretary, Publishing Division), Rafeek Kalladka (President, Administration Division) were present in the pressmeet.
