Minister Khader, Family Members Visit Ajmer Dargah
Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Ajmer Dargah, Ajmer Sharif or Dargah Sharif is a sufi shrine (dargah) of sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti which is located at Ajmer, Rajasthan. The shrine has the grave (maqbara) of the revered saint, Moinuddin Chisti.
The Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti is one of the most honoured Dargahs not only in the state of Rajasthan but also throughout the country.
It is visited by innumerable devotees annually. It is here where the mortal remains of the esteemed Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishti, who is also called Khwaja Gharib Nawaz, are buried.
State minister of health and family welfare U T Khader and other family members of the late U T Fareed, former MLA of Ullal, paid a ziarat (visit) to this dargah last week.
Spreadsheets called ‘chadars’, as part of the protocol, are head-borne and offered to the grave by the visitors to mark the fulfilment of their intentions.
Irrespective of their religious conviction, people from all over India have strong belief that an entreaty at Ajmer Sharif is always answered.
Heads of states and film celebrities often visit this shrine.
