Kel: (Game)

Purpose: To encourage the use of the words above, play a game with your family. Most of you may be familiar with the Picnic game. You need a group of four or five to make this fun.

The first person starts by saying: I went for a picnic and I took (name a food item) to share. The next person starts by repeating the same line, repeats the first food item and then adds another item to that. The third person repeats the same line, repeats the first and second food item and then adds a third item to the list. It gets harder as more items are added to the list. The person who cannot remember the items in the correct order is out. However the focus should be on having fun and trying to remember the names. The items also do not have to be picnic appropriate. You can also change it by substituting "Market or store" for "picnic"

The twist is to try this in Konkani and use this list of words to remember food items. For this game, do not focus on grammar

Konkani Translation:

First person: Hanv unddo ghevn piknikak gelom (male) / gelim (female).

Second person: Hanv unddo ani kapi ghevn piknikak gelom (male) / gelim (female).

Third person: Hanv unddo, kapi ani xit ghevn piknikak gelom (male) / gelim (female).
