Kudla’s Shetty Twins Shine in ‘Shaantam Paapam’ TV Serial

Kudla Twins Adhvithi & Ashvithi Shetty Shine in ‘Shaantam Paapam’ Colors Kannada TV Serial (Also read the exclusive interview last year with the twins below)

Mangaluru: They were born just five minutes apart, and that’s the only time that they seem to have spent without each other. But when they grew up, they both went shopping together; they have the same hobbies; they look very identical; they were born at the same hour, just five minutes apart; they attended the same college; grew up to be actresses and models; they lived together in Mangaluru and now live together in Bengaluru ; but the only difference between them is that they don’t dress alike, other than that they are the identical Kudla’s Twin sisters, Ashvithi and Adhvithi Shetty, hailing from Bejai, Mangaluru.

To hear them tell it, these similarities are merely the serendipitous result of knowing each other intimately throughout life, not the kind of cosmic identical-twin connection that people often ask about. Although I had the opportunity to meet them during the “Cause 2016” fund-raising event organized by a bevy of PUC students of St Aloysius College, Mangaluru at City Centre Mall, Mangaluru, and also did an exclusive interview with them- but once again last week when these twins had come down to visit their mom, I communicated with them once again, where they shared about their appearances in the Colors TV Kannada soap serial “Shaantam Paapam”

Say goodbye to the rest of the twins in the glamour world, and say hello to these sibling pairs, who are bringing their own unique vision to the world of Indian-influenced fashion, and Indian influenced cinema-and now in TV serial. These young lasses are talented and creative. They are twins of Tulu Nadu descent, bloggers for the most part, and they are part of a group of “elite influencers” who are blazing a trail in fashion and movie industry. Twins have always fascinated most people — and the Internet is no exception. Thanks to this inherent power, these twins have managed to make a name for themselves, acquiring incredible amounts of followers.

Praised by acclaimed magazines, newspapers, and websites; and approached by brands of fashion, jewellery and other products; collaborations continue raining down for these stylish doubles. However, we must not forget the point: these young people represent our generation. One that is proud of its cultural heritage, proud to be ebony, proud of their beauty and appearance, proud of our style of clothes. Kudla should be proud of these twins who are emerging into the fashion and movie/Television world, to bring name and fame to their hometown.

After these sisters, who gained popularity with their act in “Mr & Mrs Ramachari”, have recently gone on air with their first daily soap, “Shaantam Paapam”. The serial is a string of various theme-based episodes and the ones the sisters feature in is also about twins. The twins, who have earlier been part of many reality shows on Kannada and Telugu TV, share that many tele-serial offers are now coming their way and that they’re in talks for an interesting concept to be shot shortly.

Speaking to Team Mangalorean, Adhvithi “It’s a story about how the parents of these twins cheat a groom and con him into marrying the wrong twin and not the one he is in love with. Since they look alike, he doesn’t realize this interchange for a long time. And when he does, he’s obviously livid and takes an extreme step. This forms the crux of the story,”. Ashvithi speaking to Team Mangalorean said, ” “Frankly, the two of us didn’t find any difference between acting on celluloid and the small screen. Both mediums offer their own challenges and it’s gratifying when you overcome them with elan. As long as we get to act, we don’t mind taking up any role, be it in films or daily soaps. Doing ShaantamPaapam was a good beginning and the response has proved that we were right in trying our hand at the daily soap scene,”.

“Shaantam Paapam” is a show that will give the thrill seekers just what they crave for! Every episode takes the viewers through shocking stories of merciless crimes and heartless criminals. Inspired by real-life events, this show aims at creating an awareness about the heinous crimes that occur in society and ways to avert them.
