Kundapur: A 18-month-old toddler died after being crushed to death under the wheels of a tipper near the Brindavan Lodge near Parijatha Circle here on July 4.
The deceased has been identified as Dyavanna (18 months), Son of Maruthi and Laxmi, native of Koppal district. Both are said to be daily wage labourers.
According to police, the toddler was playing in the construction site at the Brindavan Lodge premises. The accident occurred when the tipper driver was reversing the vehicle. The driver did not notice the toddler playing behind his vehicle and moved it backwards killing him on the spot. Lakshmi, Dyavanna’s mother rushed him to the hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead.
A case has been registered in Kundapur police station.
